Foreign tourists need a visa to enter India. It must be applied for well in advance, but also not too early. \u2028\u2028For the 30-day visa, entry must take place within 30 days of issue. The maximum stay of 30 days begins on the day of entry.<\/p>

Please note: Your name must be written exactly the same on the visa as on the passport. Your passport must be valid for at least six months and contain two blank pages when entering India.<\/p>

The Treatmenthouse is open from the beginning of July to the end of March. Climatic conditions vary somewhat during this time. Traditionally the rainy seasons are the perfect time for Ayurvedic treatment. The main monsoon is in June\/July. The hot months of April and May are not suitable for treatment. The average daytime temperature is about 30\u00b0C (86\u00b0F), depending on sunshine, cloud or rain. Be aware that climate change makes all seasons less predictable.\u00a0<\/p>

Light summer clothes and natural fibers are recommended. On the Treatmenthouse premises, it’s fine to wear tops and shorts or short skirts\/dresses. Outside the premises \u2013 in the village or the city \u2013 it’s advisable to cover shoulders and legs. Long pants\/skirts\/dresses and t-shirts\/blouses\/shirts are fine \u2013 a scarf or shawl around the shoulders can also work well.<\/p>

Open shoes (flip-flops or sandals) are fine. An extra pair of shoes for going to the treatments is useful. Bathrobes and towels are provided.<\/p>

You might want to bring a small torch to be prepared in case of power cuts.<\/p>

Our library offers a small selection of books in English.<\/p>

Anything you forget to pack is likely to be available in Trivandrum (e.g. cosmetics etc).<\/p>

Cash payment (EUR, CHF, GBP, USD, INR, etc) on site is preferred to avoid transfer fees.<\/p>

A bank transfer in advance is also possible. The sender bears the full charges. Any fees incurred upon receipt of payment will be charged to the sender.<\/p>

We don’t accept credit card payments.<\/p>

The temple music in the early morning hours and in the afternoons is part of everyday life. When there is a temple festival the music might be quite loud.
